Error when publishing to Doma
Posted by: Angus on: 04/19/2012 7:11am
Hi,
As mentioned in previous thread, I'm new to QuickRoute and Doma.

When trying to publish from QR to Doma, I get following

Error when communicating with map publishing server
Response is not well-formed XML

QR v 2.4
Doma 3.0.4

I am using MAC with windows XP running in virtualbox.

Hi!
I have the same problem, error information in swedish is: "Svaret innehåller inte korrekt xml-kod".

But the strange thing is that it works with some of the users I have in Doma. I can´t see anything that is different from the user´s.

A common reason for this kind of problems is that the config.php file has been saved in the wrong character encoding.

Open the config.php file in a proper text editor (Textpad, Notepad++, etc) and check for invalid characters in the beginning of the config.php file. Make sure that the file begins with <?php and save it in UTF-8 encoding.

The config file seems in order. it has <?php at beginning and ?> at end and it has been saved as UTF-8.
Still getting same error message....

You might need to use a http debugging tool like Fiddler (www.fiddler2.com) to check the response from webservice.php and check for anomalies in the XML.

Hello Pesho and MT!

I have the same problem. It happened when I updated the archive to DOMA 3.
Som users can't connect to the page duw to XML error.

I found that some maps have gotten corrupt dates.
When QR calls GetAllMaps is gets a competition with this date
<Date xsi:type="xsd:dateTime">-001-11-30T00:00:00+00:00</Date>
it should be something like this
<Date xsi:type="xsd:dateTime">2009-08-11T14:22:03+00:00</Date
If you list all maps for a user with year 0, you can see the corrupt maps at bottom, login and correct the date
For an example I can see that Povel has a map with corrupt date
http://www.tesika.se/OL/index.php?user=Povel&categoryID=8&year=0&filter=&displayMode=list
the map
http://www.tesika.se/OL/show_map.php?user=Povel&map=52
